Sorry. Did I read BEN HUR? What?!
Sorry. Did I read BEN HUR? What?!
Had Molly quit persuing Lester, he would have gotten away with murder. Literally. Everything doesn't have to end with a big bombastic take down. Molly just did her job, and did it well.
Ok. Yeah, you are right.
Maybe that's the ironic tragedy of the two. That their contributions are so subtle and nuanced that, while not seeming important on a grand scale, they have tiny moments of genuine impact.
Their deaths being a contributing factor to Lester's "trap" has a darkly comedic undertone that I like.
But what were the police going to do? Arrest Malvo?
The man needed to be put down. Not thrown in a prison.
Molly puts in nicely when talking to Lester.
"He won't stop."
Also can't seem to find it, but I believe someone mentioned that Budge and Pepper were much like Rosencrantz and Guildenstern from Hamlet, and their comedic spin-off "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead."
As characters, they really don't make any difference in the story. At every opportunity, they fail to leave any…
I can see why Gus got away with murder. The police just didn't arrest him.
Everyone in the Bemidji Police Department knew what Malvo was capable of, and Gus was entirely justified in killing him.
Oh. And Lester receiving a face full of Salesman Award had me in tears.
They never let a good symbol get away.
I adored it.
Every second was dripping with tension and dread. I had no idea where this would go.
It would be typical of the show to head down the bitter bloodbath road, but it doesn't.
Instead, we have a Grimly find redemption. The Devil put to rest. A rat finally falling through the ice.
Seriously, the scene with Lester…
Shit. Gotta catch up on Breaking Bad.
Essentially all of it.
That was delightfully bizarre and surreal.
Funny that many didn't like "Glitch is a Glitch," because I also sort of liked that one. (Although editing this comment, I can see why people do not like that episode and perhaps this one. Idoes break the momentum that the episodic outings have been building
THANK YOU. Game criticism has gone WAY off the rails into something that is barely comprehensible.
Now, it is "not okay" for a game to only exist for the sake of having fun, entertaining gameplay or story. If it doesn't "mean something," than it immediately is dismissed as overrated garbage.
Not sure if we are meant to sympathize with Lester, but I feel that we are meant to interpret his character by comparing it to the bloody poster in his basement (my favorite quote):
"What if YOU'RE right, and THEY'RE wrong?"
Hmm. Similar, so probably a fair fight. But with tv characters.
Im gonna also pose Hannibal (NBC) vs. Malvo.
The characterisation of Lester is perfect. Just when you think he has become a cool, confident new man, it takes an unpredictable, malevolent, and familiar force to reveal the sad, pathetic Lester he has been hiding for so long. Can't wait for next week.
A is for "Aces."
Ah, I love it.
Yes, Adventure Time. Make it WEIRD!! Pile it on! It could even get WEIRDER!
This is one of the few places on mainstream television that something of this magnitude can be even attempted. So I say strap in and enjoy the trippy ride!
I really love Steel.
It's Twilight Zone blending classic story-telling with futuristic sci-fi, and it works really well. Also glad to see that we have returned to half hour. The show may end with a whimper, but the final season at least has SOME classics.
With the announcement of downloadable content months before we even get a peak at the main game, I must ask you developers (and I suppose by extension, publishers):
Have you no shame?
Say what you will about Billy Joel.
But Uptown Girl is the PERFECT song to kill the mood and piss people off.
Yeah. And there is also Jimmy Buffet music.
Which is just as inescapable. And just as terrible (if not personally worse).
