Yeah it WAS pretty cool though.... played that one over and over and over. What made it so cool was that the computer graphics of a thermal display pretty much mirror exactly what a real thermal display looks like (at least as seen on youtube) so it more or less felt like you were actually blowing people away at will.

I think the A-10 is a shit-ton more survivable than an AC-130... A-10 was designed to have one of its engines blown clean off by a MANPAD and still get home... C130 not so much...
