I am not able to say if this is one time thing.
I am not able to say if this is one time thing.
I am REALLY torn by this one... I have a 2.5 year old son who I've spanked from time to time and go fwd I do not think I'll be spanking anymore except for maybe MAJOR items like "you almost killed yourself by running into the busy street stop laughing about it" type of things.
"What Gawker Media Is Doing About Our Rape Gif Problem" has got to be one of the most "20 years ago whod'a thought?" things I've ever seen.
OK, just an FYI, AFAIK the diff between electric and gas (glow at least, not sure on these chain-saw engines) is the opposite... you prop strike something and glow will stop outright.... electric will keep going no matter how much of the prop is busted off.
Yeah I flew glow for a bit in my youth. But obviously a Goldberg Eaglet and a TopFlite P51 has nothing to do with this B29, so I'll not pretend it does.
My point is, based on his DEMONSTRATED history of crashing these fucking things at airshows (again, at least ONCE through sheer negligence, possibly twice if you count this one with the fuel soaked pushrod whoosie-whatie thing) Mac Hodges is not the fucking hero everyone seems to make him out to be.
Doesn't take experience with a model of this size to know that problems were evident early on and chopping the throttles early it would have coasted to a stop in plenty of time.
Also, I realize that a lot of people buy into the "he took off to avoid the crowd line" thing but I don't. It's clear from the video that something is amiss very soon in the takeoff run and had he aborted at that point he would have been ok. And if it had something to do with fuel screwing up some pushrod/servo... he…
I fly RC (or used to) a lot. No time or $$ right now.
Can you elaborate? From what I recall the dude was indeed a PTSD dude. Was there more to the story?
Word of warning to you on how you should view probably 99% of the responses you will get:
1800 words on this topic?
Hyperbole aside, I am disappointed they did not arrest him.
Former skydiver and parachute rigger here... it is NOT too big to have been packed up in a parachute. You would not believe the amount of shit that I've found packed into parachutes, bulky stuff you'd think would be impossible to miss during the packing process, such as actual rocks, cow paddies, flip-flops,…
What seems to be lost on you is that your showing the picture of you in a war zone in response to someone insinuating that you don't have 'ALL THAT POWER' would tend to be read as you saying "Oh yeah?! LOOK AT ALL MY POWER?! I'm over here in the 'Stan with all THIS FUCKING POWER."
I am a former Marine. And all I can say is, "no wonder you are so fucked up."
"Again: there is no clear reason for the woman to be walking that direction, other than to provoke a response."
Idaknow, cuz she's a dumb college kid? Want's to exercise her constitutional right to see what's going on? MAYBE SHE FUCKING FELT SAFE DOING SO BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT PART OF THE FUCKING RIOTS BUT STUPID HER DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THE COPS ARE SO FUCKING MILITARIZED THEY REGARD ANY "NOT-A-COPS" AS THE ENEMY?!
"However, the cop did what he felt was necessary to protect his brothers."
