Palworld’s release is honestly the most baffling thing I’ve seen in gaming in YEARS. Like some hodgepodge slop indie studio comes along, decides to make the overscoped game every Pokémon fan dreamed of when they were 9 and Forrest Gump-style stumbles their way into a critical success with a NAT20 roll. I get how the

I’m just here to laugh at Kotaku's ongoing hate boner at anything "ai". Some of the pics look fine, some pretty bad. Their writing on this topic is so over the top it's funny.

Didn’t stop you from writing an article about Stable Diffusion which had zilch to do with games though did it.

The bigger issue Luke is that you’re missing the forest for the trees. Set aside the ethics of whether we should displace working human artists with AI — the technology is already more capable in many arenas that a healthy percentage of humans, writing included, and is improving at a seemingly exponential rate. It’s

Is that earlier article about some incel losing his virginity count as a video game related? I mean I didn't really read it, did he f*ck an Wii or something?

Ok fair — but it wouldn’t be a Kotaku article if it didn’t involve a shitty little lecture. Turnabout is fair play

Automation is bad because it’s threatening a white collar job in the arts”, brought to you by writers who doesn’t mind taking part in the online blogging arena which set fire to countless blue collar jobs.

You guys don’t actually give a crap about automation, not really. You’ve never complained about it on this scale

This is unfortunately how it happens. There’s zero need for the copyright holder to contact you in any way with how Youtube is set up.

- Are you playing a game on the job!?

Can I challenge you to a game of Blitzball instead?

My 2 cents:

Players would have rioted if they put legendaries in hard to reach places. I’m totally on board with it, but players would have burned the company to the ground.

Who knew Pokemon were as boring as your typical urban dweller?

I played plenty when it came out because I was lucky enough to have a lot of stops in my little tourist town, but the idea you had to be in a city and not actually out in the wild adventuring was a big let down for me.

Pokemon Go is weaksauce. Let me catch Pokemon out in the wilderness and hikes. Put legendaries in epic hard to reach places. Instead they just want you to wander around Starbucks in cities.

FFVIII’s music is the best of the franchise, challenge me to a chocobo race if you disagree.

Many have learned the lesson DeSantis refuses to learn; you don’t fuck with the House of Mouse and their attack lawyers.

I immediately downloaded it and it’s just fun. And it’s the kind of game that leans into the IP’s strength — its humor. The funnier and charming it tries to be, the better it is (the movies, the animated shows, Sonic Colors, etc)

Honestly, I think this is the best use of the characters and franchise now. Quirky titles that take these recognizable characters, and do something other than try to go fast in 3D. No hating on people who enjoy ‘06 and the like.

What I’m hearing is we need The Breakfast Club but with wizards.
