But… it’s not roguelike. At all. It’s more Souls-like. It’s like Nioh with Diablo style loot. There’s really nothing roguelike about it.

Definitely not roguelike. At all. Basically picture Nioh without the stances with a Diablo style loot system.
Seems more like prequel to me. Like how did Garland go from hero to villain/chaos.
Seems more prequel. And no open world, just specific area. Picture Nioh, but without the stances.
Seems like a prequel to me, it I could be wrong. Also, it’s less DMC and more Nioh without the stances(and some good old fashioned Diablo loot system). The combat is fun, but it does require you to be on your toes or your could easily lose pretty quickly.
I had no issues in the first area, but a ton in the second. I even had 2 full crashes when changing the weather, which sucked. But other than that I really enjoyed it.
Based on the demo, it strongly hints that it’s a prequel of some kind. The main character’s name is Jack and they’ve said Garlands full name is Jack Garland, so I’m guessing this is the prequel that sets up the time loop/Garlands fall to villainy.
I played the second demo. SPOILERS FROM THE DEMO:
I played the demo all weekend. Very similar to Nioh(minus the stances), but with a Diablo style loot system. Also, way less punishing on death, which is perfect for me because I hate losing progress if I die twice in a row. You only really lose accumulated MP(for magic/finishers). Also, there is a job system you level…
Dude. The last few reveals haven’t been that groundbreaking in characters(maybe Sephiroth). At best, it’s gonna be something mediocre. I’m probably gonna say Pauline from Odyssey or some Sword and Shield Pokemon.
This just further confirms my theory that Kirby is a post-apocalyptic human.
I personally don’t give a damn about an actor’s personal life. I care about the job they do. It’s like my dentist or my mechanic. Can they do the job and do it well? If the answer is yes, then that’s all I care about. I don’t need to know their personal life to like/dislike them.
Is it just me or does that street sign in the background kinda look like Sonic?
I think it definitely was Kraven. What’s more, I think we might see a take on the Grim Hunt. The girl and guy Pete/Miles were fighting looked similar to Kraven’s children.
Honestly, as long as you didn’t take it too seriously and expect it to be some new great masterpiece, it was actually pretty fun. The mechanics(being stolen from FFX) was solid. The story was cool, albeit ridiculous at times, but I’ve played much worse.
Yeah, but you missed the first part, which was equally stupid…
I will say, some of the anger I’ve seen was that it was Kickstarted and sold on the Kickstarter as a fun, playful dungeon romp and nowhere was it mentioned that it gets dark and deals with this stuff until they received their copies and started playing.
The spider one I agree with, but the Cyberpunk was different. It legitimately caused people to have seizures during the brain dance, which intentionally included red and white flashing lights. And there were no warnings about the possibility of seizures.
Am I the only one that didn’t actually like RE7? I’ll admit, it had some tension and some good jump scares, but to me, the whole idea of “crazy mold people” was just dumb and didn’t impress me at all.
See? I agree with exactly what you said…. for FFIX. Zidane is annoying and childish, the princess is bland as hell. Steiner was the typical rigid, inflexible knight. Really the only character I even like was Vivi. To me, the rest of the FFIX cast was utterly forgettable. And the whole “you’re just a homunculi to for…
