One of my favorite Final Fantasy moments was when I was playing X-2 over my best friend’s house. His super religious dad walks in, sees what we’re playing and asks, “What is this?” I say Final Fantasy and hand him the case.

I hinestly don’t remember seeing that ad, I’ve totally forgotten it. But that Crossfire song and the dramatic “You’ll get caught up in it” definitely triggered some repressed memory.
Dear Devs,
I agree the ergonomics of the SP were awful. I still have mind and my giant fat fingers cramp big time if I play too long. But that backlit screen definitely gives it a huge leg up over the regular GBA.
Oh man. The Gameboy Advanced was such a great system. I had the original, but my parents got tired of buying batteries, so they bought me the SP.
I’m with you. I LOVED the end game. I like grinding, so I always kept the encounters at double encounter rate. So by the endgame, I was maxed and turned random encounters off and it didn't bother me. Plus that twist at the end made it all pay off. I loved it.
Wile I agree, I will say that Bravely Default did random encounters right. There was a slider that you could adjust the encounter rate from no encounters all the way to double the encounter rate. I personally always had it doubled, but once I maxed everything out, I went to none and it made the late game WAY more…
Both the original post was talking about triple A games in general. They actually never mentioned Cyberpunk at all. When they said “It’s not even gurantee the game will be a success” they meant for any Triple A game. That's why developing a Triple A game is tough.
It was security(I think VP secret service) and they specifically said, “Anyone who enters this window will be shot”. She entered, she got shot, then no one else tried to enter the window. Pretty cut and dry to me.
“You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
I 100% agree with this take. Also, I love how Nintendo conveniently waited until after the election to publish this statement.
Te problem isn’t the scaplers, it’s the people are stupid/desperate enough to pay for these overpriced consoles from shitty scalpers. As long as people are that dumb/desperate, then there is nothing deterring scalpers from making a massive profit off of them.
But his Animal Crossing Island is a video game. And reporting on it by saying, “There isn’t much to do here, it’s just a fluff piece by Biden” would have been fine. Instead he says shit like, “Much like Biden’s entire campaign, there is much substance on his Animal Crossing Island”. And that’s the tamest thing he said…
I've said it before and I’ll say it again, this game is gonna sell amazingly well, but it’s ultimately going to be considered a bad game.
Dude. Every single ones of his articles are more about his insufferable biases than on the article in question. Just look at his Biden Animal Crossing article. He spends the entire article shitting on Biden and like three sentences on the island itself.
All of Ian's articles are as insufferable as this. Look up his "reporting" on Biden's Animal Crossing Island. He spends the entire article bashing Biden instead of actually talking about the video game piece. It's almost like he is on a political site and not a site about video games.
Yah, I know. He is a really fucking annoying writer. He’s complaining of the about the Navy sounding like whiners and yet this whole article reads like a whiny 13 year old trying to sound edgy. Hell, if I had known I could get paid to be a “journalist” by sounding like a complete jackass instead of actually…
For, it was the poorly implemented districts and the fact that you had to physically place wonders on tiles(thus actively discouraging you from building them) that kill Civ VI for me.
Mine wasn’t really losing save progress, but close enough. Final Fantasy X-2. Whatever the optional super boss was(the machina in the desert). For the longest time I couldn’t beat him(I was a kid and didn’t understand grinding out levels/jobs). I tried several times and was FINALLY close to beating it. I got him down…
Wow. This is probably the dumbest shit I’ve ever read on Kotaku. And I just read a Kotaku article about how devs should stop putting spiders in games because it scares people.
