What I mean is that Lindsay Weir looks small town pretty. She’s pretty in the way that my best friend from HS was pretty. She doesn’t have that Hollywood thing of big head on tiny body, which Julia Stiles certainly does. But as you say, this is certainly a matter of taste and construct.

The amount of writers that are celebrating 10 Things and publishing their thoughts that mirror my own about the film is, just... I know you can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?

God, that dress was bad. But I loved the prom scene because it was the moment she finally showed love for her sister by punching Joey Donner in the face. 

This movie came out my freshman year of high school and I ABSOLUTELY credit it with the confidence my too-smart bff and I had to be too-smart girls who dgaf what anyone else was doing. It’s a perfect movie that I can quote start to finish.

I unabashedly and apologetically LOVE this movie and I was in my late 20's when it came out. The entire cast is pitch perfect. Allison Janney is amazing! Plus, Gabrielle Union is a year older than I and played a sophomore! The woman Does. Not. Age.
