“Mom don’t post random photos of me on IG because we have no control over where it gets reposted. Geez, mom! You should know this.” Jezebel promptly reposts it. And if this isn’t the picture that she didn’t want posted can you at least clarify?

He was in Nikita! I loved that show.

Funnily enough, I had the same opposite reaction to acts like Hanson. It was cool to like Hanson for a hot year and then you had to hate their guts because they were banal, “not real”, and “some stupid boy group”.

I feel like D&D and LARPing fall into this category. I can't thing of anything else though. Fedora collecting?

There are definitely much better albums that came out around that time (many of them by women the 90s were an awesome time for women rockers.) But, also, why rationalize away something you loved and was important to you?

The other day, my husband said to me, “I decided not to try to reason with you about buying Jagged Little Pill on vinyl and bought what was in our Amazon cart.” I gave him a pitying look and said, “It is an amazing album. You’ll see. You’ll see.

I am giving you all of the internets for this.

I feel like this is kind of the nature of music, though. Very little of it stands the test of time, but a great deal of it means something to a person or a group of people at a certain time. I remember earnestly singing to songs that legitimately make me cringe now (I’m looking at you, Backstreet Boys’ “Incomplete”).

As a kid that hit middle school a year after this album came out, Jagged Little Pill felt like the first time I had permission to be ANGRY or disgruntled.

I have not listened to Jagged Little Pill in a very long time, but don’t ruin it for me. What’s next on your list? Pieces of You by Jewel?

Now playing

Gotta disagree hard on this one. IMO Jagged Little Pill holds up as a top 10 90s album. It’s a viscerally angry album and Alanis is SO GOOD at getting her emotions across.

Nope, just like you can’t touch your belly without being pregnant.

That’s what stuck out to me too.

“...these two attractive young women...

Was coming here to say the same thing!

Can a woman just not like another person without it being a "feud"? No one likes everyone, and friends grow apart. It would probably indicate some kind of personality disorder if you liked every person you met and kept every single friend throughout your entire life

LOL - ah yes, the horror of actually making a red state as productive as a state like CA.

Why are they too stupid to call it a jobs bills and keep reinforcing the fact that Republicans are voting against a jobs bill? Every time they talk about the GND, they should say it’s a jobs bill. Never not mention GND and “jobs” in the same sentence. Why do they seem incapable of political judo?
