Not at all. I liked it better when there was more emphasis on hacking and stealth. Each trailer makes it look more and more generic. It's like GTA without any of the humor.

I think Threes better in a couple ways:

Disc-based gaming may be dying, but until more people have fiber, or at least high MB/s internet speeds, driving to the store will still be faster than a 20-50+ GB download. Until internet speeds catch up to game size (I'm looking at you Charter/Comcast/Time Warner), discs aren't going anywhere.

Once they start selling music, they'll start doing early access music where you can pay full price to hear someone screw around on a guitar for 80 minutes while promising to clean everything up once they get enough money to buy studio time

Red Cross, United Way, Salvation Army...

THIS IS THE HD POLICE

"Grandpa, tell us about when you were a kid!"

I get that. When I first started messing with those options, it did feel a bit like I wasn't playing the game "properly." I might not even touch those options when I start playing the full version, though being able to grind job levels without having to worry about being overleveled is super tempting.

A) It's not cheating because the developers themselves stuck it in. and B) Avoiding random encounters makes the game more pleasant and less annoying (depending on your taste), but also harder, since your characters will be underleveled relative to mandatory battles; so still not cheating.

oh. sorry. it's hard to tell the difference between wiiu trolls and sarcasm

...but the reason that it got a "No" was not because it's intrinsically bad, but because the mechanics are crying out for a touch interface. Which is exactly what the WiiU has.

So, does anyone know when the Director's Cut of Deus Ex:HR is coming out for Mac? Every press release about it I've seen lists OSX as a supported platform... but I've yet to see anything from Square Enix or Eidos or even Feral (who did the original port).

No no no, see, they just have the PS4 plugged into the XB1, so they're in Sony's pocket in Microsoft's pocket. It's like how Gizmodo is in Google's pocket and Apple's pocket at the same time. (8 ball is still in the corner pocket). After typing it so many times, Pocket looks like a really weird word now.

So... why does it need to be in the Metal Gear universe at all? Is this a story that needs to be told with Big Boss? If Kojima is interested in avoiding continuity issues, MGS may need to go the direction of, say, the James Bond franchise where each movie doesn't necessarily share continuity with the others. Sean

In all this gun control debate, I think we should never lose sight of the fact that the NRA does not speak for gun owners. They speak for gun manufacturers. They oppose gun control legislation not for constitutional reasons, but for business reasons: Fewer guns allowed, or more background checks all lead to fewer guns

I'm glad to see Kentucky Route Zero win for visual art. That game's got some seriously beautiful (and creepy) stuff in it. I can't wait for the next act to come out.

I think they are overlooking, or feel different about the problems that Kirk brought up. The EGM review, for example, which overall is about the exact opposite of Kirk's review, brings up several of the same issues, but then ultimately finds that the rest of the game outweighs those problems. And of course, just

"Don't do the same as what's been done before' over and over." It would be really nice if they could take their console philosophy and apply it to Mario and Zelda. Those series really need some new ideas stat.
