i dont think so. 3D Printing is quite wasteful due to the large amounts of support material used, but its great for small quick things.

Who else is waiting to see how long before this gets blamed on Trump for whatever crackpot reason the left wing nutters come up with?

I saw a Polestar 2 in the wild some time ago, and was struck by how nice the design was in real life.  Very cool car, and, given that our next vehicle will likely be electric, a serious option for us.

The Luqiao CMA Super Factory isn’t really a “Geely (discount product)“ facility, since it’s largely operated by the Volvo (premium product) division and is used for models on the CMA platform - which includes Geely, Volvo and Link & Co. and is largely used on the more expensive products they sell. Complaining about

Engineering for something that is unused and unnecessary.

What we uncovered here is actually the groundwork for the next generation Z06: Duramax. Powered by a new 3.0 liter turbodiesel, the mid-engine Corvette C8 will have a stump-ripping 800 lb-ft of torque, and redline at 3,600 RPM.

One of the best ever made was BMW’s S54 Inline 6 that was in the E46 M3, E37 Z3M, and the E85/86 Z4M. 3.2L iron block that revved to 8000 rpm and made 333hp all without the aid of forced induction. Oh, and peak power was at 7900rpm, so you were rewarded for taking it all the way to redline. It was one of the sweetest

...you honestly expect anyone to pick the P1?

You can appreciate a car that costs $2 million and also appreciate that anyone who buys it isn’t interested in just throwing away that money.

It’s a McLaren P1 that looks and sounds like a Porsche.

this makes sense because those 75 people didn’t spend their last or only $2M on these cars. we’re talking about people that can’t think of anything better to do with the money because they have plenty more.

I’m on board with all of the ~20 current commenters to this thread. This is one of the few Porsche cars that really makes me tingle. Funny that the writer of this story would write in the tone he has... This is like basically the only acceptable $2 million Jalop ride. The engineering, development etc of this car is

If some dude drops $2M on a Bugatti or some super limited edition Lambo, that’s definitely no respect from me.

“you can’t tell me that this car drives $1,979,000 better than my shitty old 912E”

You can be a tasteless rapper who spends $2M on a Bugatti, or you can be someone who understands engineering and the art of fine craftsmanship... and get a Singer.

Since this is one of the 2,maybe 3 most desirable rich fuckboy cars IN THE WORLD, cheap at twice the price.  100% would buy 2.

People who spend $2 million dollars on this car aren’t fools. To have that kind of money to spend on a car means they likely know what they are doing.

I like Porsches, but they’re just not for me (that green, though! Mmmm), yet I would have this over a VW Bugatti without even a thought. To most people, it’s another 911, so you’re not paying for look-at-me-Debbie-who-wouldn’t-go-to-prom-with-me-what-do-you-think-of-me-now?, you’re paying for impeccable craftsmanship

...gotta be honest, I don’t see how anyone can be that salty about the ridiculously high level of craftsmanship that goes into a Singer.  Maybe step away from the internet for awhile.

Damn it! Just when I had saved up 1/1000th of the money I’d ne...
