The score to Killers of the Flower Moon is among Robbie Robertsons best, also his last.  I wouldn't mind if it won.

I remember reading that reviewers who like Trump hate this season.  Boy do I see why, honestly I'm fine with that.  This isn't an era of subtlety.

So more TERF. Yeah I can see that. She seems annoyed that the daughter isn’t hyper into traditional femininity from the name to not liking girly things.

Somehow out of all the seasons, Lars feels like the most loathsome.  An even more pathetic and loser version of Lester from season 1.  I kinda hope he has a nasty fate, almost as bad as Jon Hamm.  I don't know what's more infuriating, that everyone lets him play god, or that I only need to turn on Fox News to see

This man could monologe like no other. Holy shit was he good at taking any dialogue and making it the most noir hard boiled stuff.  Also could nail comedy, so many amusing lines in Max Payne 1 like Niagara cause you cry a lot to the your in a video game scene.  Max Payne 2 is for me the best one but he was fantastic

Probably that.  Although my mind did wander in more vulgar directions if only to get back at the husband over the kinda sorta affair.

If I recall he has a hereditary title and is married to a descendant of Lord Kitchner, I think relatability to anyone not upper upper middle class exited his soul long ago.

Yeah I wasn't expecting The Wind that Shakes the Barley, but the fact its never mentioned before or after is rather jarring as its very clearly expecting the watcher to have prior knowledge.  Which is both A not good for non British viewes, and if you do know stuff, your gonna be rather unhappy.

Math is hard...

I noticed that as early as season 4 where Ireland appears, the uncle gets blown up, and that’s it. Not a single mention of the Troubles or anything that paints Britain in a poor light like Bloody Sunday.

British libel laws are no joke.

The drop in quality from Abberfan to Ghost Diana sure was massive.

There is definitely a reduction in monologes compared to season 4 which is a nice improvement.

Motherfucker!  This mans rant about PHDs and Doctors lives in my head after all these years.  Oh no what a loss.

Becomes friends with William McKinley, puts all money into Wall Street, goes to the LA Times headquarters in 1911, has a niece join Western Electric in 1915, invests in the PS General Slocum and buys a shirt from the Triangle Shirt waist Factory.  Also meets a lovely local named Albert Fish...

Yep.  Still the era of dirty papist immigrant thinking.  Know Nothings weren't that removed time wise in the 1880s.

Boy did I feel vindicated for taking an IP Law class recently.

Oh wow I never heard of Chadwick. I must look her up in detail.

A scammer running off with all the money? That feels somewhat inspired by the famous swindler Ferdinand Ward, often called The Young Napoleon. Among the notable clients he screwed were the cartoonist Thomas Nast and former President Grant and his son. He also skipped town and it took a while for him to be caught and

How the ship split apart is hotly debated.  Cameron was correct it lifted out of the water and broke, but later research concludes it wasn't nearly as dramatic an angle.  But that research is mostly around 2012 for the 100th anniversary so I can't really be mad at the film for this.  Same for how any pre 1980s Titanic
