You're equating "good" with "best" here. That is fallacious. Just because something can be better doesn't mean it isn't good. By that logic, every game ever made doesn't have good graphics, because given a strong enough PC you can always mod it to be better if you really want to.

this is pretty much how I felt when I started playing Pokemon X after having not played a single handheld Pokemon game since Gold and Silver.
