See, less jeering makes for better discussions. I’m happy to say D&D does not have the best combat, but it is perfectly serviceable. I don’t really care which is *better*. I DM D&D and play(ed) Vaesen, Coriolis, Warhammer, Dungeon World (ugh, never again). I don’t much care for Warhammer's world, but I find the combat

It also broke clerics. They are Superman now, basically.

I did not awk, because they were just trolling. I'm happy to acknowledge that Pathfinder has more choices in combat. But if one just swings their short sword once every turn in D&D  they are doing it wrong. You can move, attack, defend, talk, use skills, potions during combat. It's not the greatest, but it's just fine.

The adventurer wants to climb a rope and then jump to the next roof. Why have “climb rope” and “jump” as separate skills (separate rolls, separate looking-up of modifiers, pausing the flow of the game) instead of just “athletics”? Jeer away, but I like the freedom of D&D. More playing, less needless rolling.

Hey, I was not trying to poop on anything and I certainly did not imply 5e is for roleplaying. Just when I came in contact with Pathfinder (it was 1E), it was unbearable. Every little thing was governed by a skill. Rope climbing, mixing a potion, looking at a compass. I am exaggerating, but very little. That’s not my

Now I know you are trolling. 5e combat is boring, but P1E is not?! LOL. Anyway, 4/10 for the attempt.

So P2e did away with the endless excel sheet? I'm glad to read that. It was a main reason I kept away from Pathfinder.

I just don’t like the accountant aspect. Everything has a skill associated with it and a stat and subskills. A hit is not a hit until we calculate damage and armor and parry and thac0. It's not for me. I like the freedom of D&D.

DW was not good at all. I enjoyed Vaesen and Coriolis. Playing Warhammer, which is not my type of lore, but the campaign is fun. That said, D&D is absolutely fine. No need to denigrate it.

A starter set is a so-so pre-made adventure, with a thin rule-booklet, a set of dice, character sheets that coats like 30-40 euros. It is meant to be exactly what it says. Someone becomes the DM and a group plays a short adventure and learns the game. Absolutely fine for what it is.

Your DM should make combat more exciting. Also, there is not just one thing you can do per round...

I thought Tasha’s was a haven for min-maxers and gave “everyone everything”. Martial weapons, super spells, heavy armor, whatever they want.

That is just weaksauce. Elon is ashamed of you.

Musk’s Otonomous RObotic Nursemaid.

Oh, come on. Just having fun.

I don't quite understand your point. Are you implying bipolar disorder is somehow trivial? Anyway, Adderall is addictive, medication against bipolar disorder is not. As I said, I probably missed your point.

This is shocking. Strike! Strike en masse, strike until the airline cries “uncle”. Ask for 50k starting wage and every second of work time counted. When the airline threatens the attendants, the pilots should start a strike, backing their crews. Strike until AA folds.

I’m laughing to myself, like a maniac, on the train. Thanks :P

Murica.

You (and I) don't want it, because we're GenX, crusty old people. No one cares about us, though. The question is, do young people want that?
