I took a fresh built ThinkPad T400 laptop with Windows 7 64bit - plugged in for high performance and all of the ThinkVantage tools installed.
Pontiac Vibe has a build in 110v outlet. They have a cover over the outlets and an on/off switch to save you from wasting electricity on the invertor when it's not being used.
Sometimes IT is forced to these user unfriendly rules because of the corporate management.
@Terry: "And he never uses AV on his own machine"...
@jeremiah89: yeah I'm one of those bastard operators that prevents students from installing apps or bho
Vote: Keepass v2
@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I'd like to see them split that rating to ThinkPad and then Lenovo Consumercraptops... then see where the numbers are.
After dealing with TrendMicro and McAfee in previous environments... I had the opportunity to shop for a new security suite for our college. 1,800 workstations, 200 servers, and a few hundred laptops... I partnered with Sophos and have been very happy ever since.
@ImmaLion: Microsoft Security Essentials is a fairly decent package for home users, but McAfee users most affected were large corporations that manage thousands of computers and servers - centrally managed using a McAfee distribution and reporting server(s). Looking down at my ThinkPad T400... yep, a nice smooth rounded edge.
MapQuest 4 Mobile is free.. but the voice navigation version is $0.99 to buy plus an additional monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription.
@jbarr:
This is one of the main reasons I went with a ThinkPad with the UltraNav - Windows + Trackpads = teh suck.
@dlinkwit27: No, but people will think you're a schmuck for taking up a volunteer's time with your investments and big tax forms. Look for VITA sessions in your area, they're top notch and trained.
I'm one of those people that jumped from TurboTax to H&R Block this year... but found myself in a bad product getting nickled and dimed. The last straw was the $20 fee tacked on to efile my state return - only mentioned after I purchased and filled out the state form.
@Prairie Moon: duh!
