@infmom: Too OCD for me... I carry all the USB charging cords with my laptop case. I have one kindle AC - USB charger I use if I need to charge something while my laptop is stowed but normally my devices are plugged into my laptop overnight.

@sweetmonkey: Thanks for that iPod charging cord - I left mine at another hotel the night before and they gave it away. Pay it forward, right?
@Bonsai_halcyon: I see what you did there. I LOLed.
@Sanjay: leave it in the hotel room's safe until your trip back. Seriously - it's a starter pistol. Ooooo, it's a cap gun.
Do not take so long to do no evil.
We're deploying vPro technology to over 1500 HP and Dell workstations to control their on/off times. We patch nightly - but don't want to keep them on all the time. We'd rather have them sleep after 15 minutes and only wake when someone sits down to use it - or patching time.
@moe52: I agree with your ideals - but it is technical against the law in the US to crack the encryption - DMCA signed into law says so. Even though it contradicts fair use rulings - nobody has challenged it in court yet to expose how fucking stupid the DMCA is and how paid off our government is. Sorry - I don't…
@Phoshi: too right. I've used IE for years without antivirus software and never been infected. I do routine scans but nothing that scans on-file-access or acts as a browser proxy.
@Jux: like anything else in this world, using your best judgement is advised. If it looks like spam and doesn't repeat - then delete it. If it's legit and shows up ever week - then you probably signed up for it at some point (or had your convention badge scanned, or online survey filtched, or....)
@Unionhawk: It's not even returning a 403 anymore...
@Gary_7vn: You did answer my questions - and I thank you for that. But then you continued to rant at me (it was a reply to me - remember) about my transportation economy and then ask where my energy and raw materials are coming from.
@binaryspiral: and also... a quick search shows that many promissing battery technologies are already in the final stages of development that are posed to replace Li-Ion batteries. I'm not giving up hope on Hybrids yet - chances are when many of these Li-Ion and Lead Acid based hyrbrids on the road come in for…
@Gary_7vn: jesus... I just asked for clarification, not a raving rant. Turn it down a notch and people might actually listen.
@Gary_7vn: what materials are in today's batteries that a: can't be recycled and b: will be used up in 30 years?
@Pasukin: omg...
@jonathant21ut: Where's that 1UP mushroom when you need it?
FDE Hard Drive with TPM+Fingerprint Scanner+Hard Drive and BIOS Password. Done.
@izzy9985: it is.
@@geek: why would you assume the IT department is deaf? Maybe they have rules to follow and policies dictated to them by unintelligent bosses who don't care if you own your own license of Win7... maybe they want 7 too and can't. Don't be a tool and blame the guys in the back office. #remainders
I currently have two accounts - one personal that I've all but replaced my RSS feeds with by following interesting sites and a work account that I can send out tweets to our customers (students) on going's on in the IT department. Works great for what it is. #twitter
