"No Zelda II sprite?"

Modern "news":

Not sure if it's because it's trendy to hate Vanille or if it's because of the distractions in the other images, but really, no comments about the FFXIII cosplay?

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game (got in on the holiday Steam sale). I'd like to think that LA Noire is a game that could reinvent and revitalize the point-and-click adventure genre. I'm on the vice desk now. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be perfect of course, but that particular part of the

Same here. Actually the homicide desk drove my friend and I crazy for a good 3 cases because we had figured out whodunit well before the final case. Watching our intrepid detective NOT ask obvious questions and NOT pursue obvious leads was nearly enough for me to stop playing entirely.

"Where in (the World/Time) is Carmen Sandiego?" strikes me as more akin to actual detective work than Arkham Asylum or L.A. Noire (full disclosure, I enjoyed both games).

I kinda want to play this, if only as something to bridge the gap to Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2, but the $60 entrance fee is killing me. This is an MMO. I would have thought the trick to getting people hooked would be just getting people in there playing. At $60 you're going to have a lot of people pass on it, and

The recent move to start selling these games on new platforms is really the only strong case against my defense of emulating retro games because it used to be that you couldn't give these companies money for these games if you tried. But as you said, even then, there are only a tiny fraction of these games available

Just want to second what Eulatos said. The game could have been a blast, but being forced to deal with rubberbanding AI and the (quite difficult) challenges required to unlock things turned me off pretty quickly. I don't know that I've ever finished the career mode to be honest.

There were too many puzzles in Portal 2 where I walked into a room, saw entire walls that only had one or two portal-sized rectangular spaces and thought, "Oh geez, where do the portals go? Gee I don't know!"

I think LoZ, LttP, and Link's Awakening will always be my favorite styles for Link. Though Wind Waker Link was amazing just because of the huge range of expression they were able to give him in-game.

My issue is mostly with their contention that they have this miraculous method of finding pirates 100% of the time based on their IP address and of course, they can't tell us, it's a secret, but we should trust that they are being thorough and perfect. But because of how they've chosen to do this, every single time

Firstly, lost me at, "once implication of innocence is reported and proven..."

(double post) :(

Um.

Maybe you're just watching combat videos? The reasons that this will be my next MMO are lined out in their manifesto video (and then confirmed in their various FAQ panels). The genre is due for some convention bending and Guild Wars 2 is doing it.

Summing up this thread: "I used to have a sense of humor, but then I took an arrow in the knee."

My hope wasn't so much that Infinity Blade II would be one of those $0.99 iOS games, but that after IB2 was released they would lower the price of the first game to something a bit closer to that price point. :) Alas.

"Wait a minute... wait a minute, Doc... are you telilng me that it's 8:25?!"

I realized after submitting my original post that the way I worded it implied that I thought the number of interactive objects was the cause of the issue. I know it's not *the* cause, but it certainly contributed to it. I can't imagine trying to examine one of Skyrim's save files. It has to remember the position of
