Counterpoint: This car would be fantastic with the turbocharged four. Particularly when it does the most Jaguar of all things and breaks.
Source: Jaguar owner for 20+ years, Jaguar mechanic for the last 10.
Addendum: Having worked on the prior X250 cars with the V8, it’s awful. The engine barely (read: doesn’t) fits in…
Had you written this about Jags of the 90s, I’d be with you. Jags of the early aughts? Agreed. But the current Jag line up is perfectly understated in my opinion. Nice, clean, and modern without in-your-face styling. The interiors use nice materials without going over the top with the design as well.

American Cities Racing League had that concept around 25 years ago. Do some research before you write your dumb headlines.
All racing series require women to compete with men on the same level... it’s not like Indy car or NASCAR have female leagues...

“every single crossover, hatch or wagon I’ve reviewed”
Yeah that part made me laugh. Looking for subtext in a Johnny Knoxville movie is just so ... art school undergrad adorable.
“certainly not clear enough to offer a look at any subtext, even when it’s right in front of the filmmakers’ faces. Knoxville seems to think he’s pining for a simpler time; what he’s actually depicting is closer to a snapshot of a Me Decade narrative where the youthful counterculture slides into aimless…
