Most high quality copies of pirated digital media come from a legally bought copy. Also add in that if someone who pirated a game enjoys it and wants to play online they will most likely need to buy a new copy equaling a sale.
Once again, a developer doesn't see a dime from used game sales. A person buying a new copy has no merit in this conversation. A person pirating a game isn't taking away Stock from the developer, hence the developer is not losing any money like they are when a used game sale is being made.
It's the same result for the developer and publisher. They don't seem a penny. You seem to only care about the consumer not the developers/publishers.
