It was one of my favorite games of last gen but I agree, it was massively overrated. The actual game play was a 7/10 and that's pushing. Everything else was excellent though.

Honestly, I don't know if Mario Kart 8 is going to top this game. It's probably one of the best arcade racers I've ever played.

Yes you can judge them as games because they are fuckin games. If your game doesn't have a good foundation centered around good game play, it's a bad game. That goes for every genre.

"Art" games aren't a genre because they can take any form : FPS, Platformers, 3rd person shooter, etc. Those are genres.

I have nothing against art games. I have a problem with bad games, which most art games are.
