The problem is that this guy is talking to AT&T csr's who have a very limited understanding of what he's telling them, and they're giving him bad information. The woman at the office of the pres could have been nicer, but the fact is that his wife is simply not eligible for the upgrade price.

@ivan256: if, by 'Nobody', you mean 'Everybody', then yes, your above statement is correct.

@einsteinx2: a good college radio station will usually have some stuff. I've actually found a few bands from listening to the nc state radio station (which covers a radius of about 50 miles)

@SenorMoofer: Yes, mixtapes from the radio. sitting there with the finger poised on the record button for hours, waiting for the right song.

The perspective in this image does not compute.

About 25 minutes. I've organized all my apps into folders...and I'm not sure I'm sold on that. Now I have more streamlined home pages, but a bunch of ugly little samey looking "folders".

@Mattizzle: I don't think it's too complicated. iPhone 1 is not supported; the 3G can update but won't get the 'multitasking'; and the 3GS / 4 are fully supported.

@RussianTaco: you may have preordered on the 15th, but they didn't verify your account till the 16th. It's bs because they don't seem to care that that affects when you get it.

Yep - this is exactly what happened with my 3gs preorder - the mistake finally got cleared up but I got my phone a week late. What happens is that something on your account gets flagged. In my case I was moving from verizon to AT&T and the automatic system couldn't validate my verizon account (I had followed the

@thereefer: Regardless, it is pure and total bs that the referee does not have to explain the call. It renders the whole idea of 'fair play' moot. In soccer (football), refs can take away any goal whatsoever and they need not explain themselves.

@thereefer: That wasn't the reason for the foul. It was an offsides call against Bradley.

@MooseDesign: Apparently it was an offsides call against Bradley.

I'm extremely underwhelmed by this gen's innovations. Kinect and playstation move? Just give me the PS4 and the Xbox720.

@FrankTheTank: in all likelihood I'll get the iphone 4 when it's reduced in price. I'm betting 5 will just be an incremental upgrade.

@Smiley Massacre: keep dreaming. That's what I was told for the 3GS, and I got it a week later.

@Nitemancometh: awesome. you should have 'shopped a vuvuzela into Jobs' hand.

@ehed: they obviously haven't.

@Tim Edwards: not at all. I can't wait to get an iPhone 4 (or 4S, or 5, or whatever they'll call next's june's iteration.) I just guarantee launch day will be just as big of a cluster as pre-order day - and probably worse. I predict many, many people not getting the phones they preordered.
