This was probably the weirdest this show has ever been and contained some of the dumbest moments Rebels has shown us in some time. But it managed to work because the weirdness is usually enjoyable and always admirably ambitious (droids doing 'Annie Get Your Gun', an Imperial hacker ship led by Lobot's evil uncle,

Replace Ricky Gervais with Jay Pinkerton, and I'll watch every episode.

There was a dark period in the late 1980s when Cookie Monster rapped about "healthy food" while dressed like Jam Master Jay…
.
Actually, it isn't a bad song. They later did an updated version in the late 2000s with Wycliffe Jean. The opening lines are even about how fans get upset when Cookie isn't eating cookies.

Well,

The formation of the Rebel Alliance is the story I always wanted this show to tell and I'm glad Rebels is finally getting to it.

The TIE Defender pilot was Vult Skerris from the earlier Wedge Antilles episode of the show. I think he was introduced in Rebels, actually, and not in the EU.

As I recall, Oprah was the president in the alternate reality that was created in Family Matters when Steve and Carl went back in time to when Carl and Harriet first moved into their house (mid-late 70s?) and Carl left a note to his past self with stock tips that allowed his present-day self to become incredibly

Happy Feet is a strange movie, but strange in a forgettable way. I think that is because it is never sure what it wants to be, it's kind of four different things.

It has funny parts - Unless you don't like Robin Williams, then it doesn't have funny parts.

It has weird parts - Mostly the whole jukebox musical aspect

Oh, you mean the one that didn't have an episode where Mace Windu destroys an entire droid army with his fists. That one was called "The Clone Wars". I liked it quite a bit, but not as much as Clone Wars.

Yep. If they wanted to go the Col. Klink route they would have reintroduced Zsinj, Isard, or Daala instead of Thrawn.

Indeed. I really liked Tartakovsky's take on the franchise: do Samurai Jack, but with Star Wars characters.

For most of the episode I also thought the whole trust issue between Ezra and Kallus was curiously and awkwardly dropped, but after seeing the final scenes I think I understand why it was part of this episode: to REALLY reinforce the fact that Ezra still does not trust Kallus. After Thrawn's declaration that Fulcrum

Ronaldo's is 2017's poster child for the Please Please Get A Life Foundation. Your mileage may vary.

This film was doomed from the moment they didn't get Peter Wolf to voice a wolf named Peter Wolf.

I'm hoping for a Rich Bickle cameo.

Kurtis Blow probably doesn't.

I would watch an M-Tron or Ice Planet 2002 movie all day. The lack of Ice Planet 2002 references in The Lego Movie was my only real disappointment with it.

That soapbox derby track in the Audi ad seemed rather dangerous. I enjoyed the Skittles ad.

Teddy Grahams are still in production, but Dinosaur Grrrrahams have been gone from shelves for over a decade. Life isn't fair.

It absolutely does. I still pull the CD off the shelf fairly regularly, sometimes just to listen to Sublime's take on "Hong Kong Phooey" (my favorite, though I'd call at least half the songs on the album "gems"). I imagine compilation albums are a really tough sell in this streaming day-and-age. It's too bad,

This update somehow seems less current than the one Semisonic and Mary Lou Lord did for that Saturday morning cartoon tribute album in 1995.
