I've generally found the backgrounds in Rebels to be disappointing and bland (plains, hallways, plains, rocks, fog, hallways) and the characters themselves to be fair enough for television CG. Still, you are correct that they can come across marionette-ish.

Well, this is disappointing. When I heard that Linda Cardellini was going to be in this I naturally assumed she was playing Kroc's arch-nemesis Wendy…

As does anyone who read the Official Guide To Vehicles And Vessels cover-to-cover back in the 90s…

Well, he should have taken a cue from the series finale of Pepper Ann and gotten to the White House himself. If that episode had gotten the future correct, Hamill would have been the incumbent POTUS, up for re-election despite the failure to pass his healthcare plan.
The Pepper Ann finale also predicted that Alex

I think I saw that episode of Archie's Weird Mysteries.

Far-and-away my favorite portrayal of Casey Jones among the TV series, well for much of the series anyways. Episodes in which he was used as imbecilic comic relief are not strong ones.

Maybe Rebels' Thrawn is really Flim from the Hand of Thrawn duology…

Many these days refuse to believe it. It is regarded as a legend, a myth, a scary story told to frighten children of the 90s and garner eye rolls from those born before and after. Granted, the evidence is scant, but I saw it with my own two eyes, I did. Doom… Doom being run on the Atari Jaguar.

You feel old? Imagine how old the people who clicked on this article expecting it to be about the Alex Trebek-hosted Double Dare feel.

And another 20% were the BK Ratch-Techs I insisted on playing YMCA basketball in.

And Motorcity.
Just because I look for excuses to mention it…

Agreed. World-building is generally one of the strengths of any piece of Star Wars film/show/book. It rarely seems to be a strength of Rebels.

When I saw the ads for this episode, I was thinking "oh no, are they really going to throw Dash Rendar into this show?" I did not suspect that Rendar would have improved this episode dramatically, but he really would have. A lot.

So… how hard was it for the SU crew not to send Andy into Beach City just so he could say "hey Fryman"?

As the one kid with a TurboGrafx 16, I was admittedly jealous of the great manuals and box art that so many NES games had. Nowadays, though, I've come to appreciate the TG16's mediocre manuals and horrendous cover art. If a game was bad, I kinda expected it. If it was good (and there are some very good TurboGrafx

I don't need to see it every episode, but I wouldn't mind seeing Ezra use Chopper as a hover board again.

They ought to get Patrick Renna in on this show. He's fantastic in that Progressive ad.

I played the Turbo Grafx game and it still haunts me…

What the Mighty Ducks cartoon lacked in guidance, I thought it nearly made up for in ambition…
A group of humanoid ducks from a hockey-obsessed planet in another galaxy accidentally land in Anaheim, where they battle an intergalactic warlord voiced by Tim Curry AND play for an NHL hockey team managed by Jim Belushi.

Since this carries from the 60s to the present day, why no courtesy mention of "Little Shop" from the early 90s. As an animated adaptation of Little Shop Of Horrors, it misfires so badly that it comes around to being oddly fascinating.
