According to some, Microsoft only created the Surface because they were frustrated by the poor imagination of their hardware partners. So theoretically this could be a point where they let the Surface line recede a bit.

Underpowered? They come in Core I7 if you want. The Surface was never underpowered.

I caught onto this the moment it was introduced. Love my Surface Pro 3, and when Apple announced the iPad Pro, I said that they finally caught up with Microsoft on this one.
