I've also seen both bands and also feel there should be room enough in life for both. Up until Hyden tweeted something along the lines of "Cloud Nothings are way better than Girls, who are basically doing the same thing," it never would even have occurred to me to compare the two. It struck me as a bizarre statement…

I only harp on it because you refuse to see the light. And because I couldn't disagree more that they "work in a similar guitar-pop vein" or whatever fancy criticphrase you want to use to say that they are similar beyond the fact that they both employ electric guitars. But I will drop it. Out of love.

Steven Hyden once said this band sounds like Girls. He also said this band is better than Girls. Wrong on both counts.
