A serious response is that those are all framed as being against their religion... whereas its hard to say that you’re refusing to serve someone because their hat is against their religion. Apparently its a-ok to discriminate if you can hide behind religion but not otherwise. 

Because hypocrisy and self-dealing are their core values.

Why wouldn’t Trump supporters be in favor of this? They don’t want a bakery to be forced to make a cake, a pharmacy to dispense birth control, or a public servant to do her job against her conscience. Why is this different?

I was going to feel bad for the restaurant, but then came the bit where the owners fired the manager for having some decency and backbone so fuck them because they’re part of the problem.

Considering Yelp’s business model is “Nice place you got here, it’d be a pity if someone were to post something nasty about you on social media,” they’re probably not worried.

Unless Yelp can figure out a better method for handling fraudulent reviews, their platform is going to become more and more irrelevant in our modern outrage culture.

The only reason to wear a hat like that in Canada is to show solidarity with bigots and their organizations. The only people I ever see wearing it are people wearing other white supremacist symbols. 

It’s a hat with a politically-charged message.
