Because he’s a corny, basic cable Euron Greyjoy?
Because he’s a corny, basic cable Euron Greyjoy?
The actor seemed to play the scene a lot hornier than the script read. But all of his choices seem kind of hammy to me.
This whole thing doesn’t scan because Mr. “Straight” divorcee only knows this because he’s using apps as a thirst trap with gay dudes. The fact that he bothered to mention the ages of his actual friend, who may or may not be cheating, and his friend’s younger boyfriend reeks of repressed jealousy. It’s the kind of…
Just chining in to say that the theme for What Had Happened Was (Open Mike Eagle’s interviews with Prince Paul) is dope as fuck.
Wasn’t just you; my friend and I both commented on how violent (and clothed) that scene was and then the fucked up shoe rape scene just underscored that discomfort. It came off pretty retrograde and straight gaze-y. Michael K Williams did his best with what they gave him, and that awesome red shirt.
Really? What’s it like?
Well, people hit Illusion of Gaia and Okami so I’m just here to rep Elliot’s Quest, which is like a metroidvania Zelda 2. I have a soft spot for Zelda 2 because it was the first one I played so the platforming and overworld towns in Elliot’s Quest delighted me. Also the boss fights were NES-level difficult.
Yes! I was going to comment specifically about this game because it was maybe my favorite SNES game - probably because it was a random Christmas present and I had no expectations and then it scratched all of my Zelda itches. Especially the underlying melancholy that reminded me of my favorite kid’s lit like The High…
I fucking adore Okami - one of my favorite games ever. Still remember the first time I bloomed a big tree and how insanely pretty it was. Played it twice on Wii (got all beads!) and again last year on Switch. I found the Oracle games kind of bloated and lacking charm, but Capcom really killed it with this one. Just…
That poor proctologist.
It sounds better if you read it in Chuck Noblet’s voice.
Name checks out.
I think Gen X caught a lot of Boomer nostalgia that Millenials didn’t and so they could pick up on the referents that R&S was spoofing (an awareness of Andy Griffith, Howdy Doody, etc.). The bigger context is that R&S popped up on the tail of the Reagan/Bush years and the piss/grossout take on Bommer nostalgia was a…
So strange how people don’t like it when “anyone” does X but only mention it when particular people do X. Also, all I can think about is long-time Onion columnist Smooth B.
I just wanna say this review is great. Also I have the song “Nothing” from A Chorus Line running in my head now.
It’s Such a Beautiful Day left me depressed for a week. World of Tomorrow felt positively sunny by comparisson. Loved both.
I hate watched it, picking out the ways in which Wolfenstein 2 was better (e.g. Grace Walker)
Damn, good call.
