I think it helped that I played Ico first so I had a sense of redemption coming for that asshole hero. (also the flying desert colossus is majestic and I felt super shitty about killing it)

I’ve just never in the mood to watch Treme.

“Deeper and Deeper” is my second favorite cut after “Into the Groove”

“Sapiosexual” always makes me laugh because it’s such a perfect distillation of a superiority-inferiority complex.

snicker dick is a side effect of santorum

I’ve just gotten used to rom-coms (and comedies generally) sort of glazing over class.  But I think that’s why they get a lot of flack for being formulaic - because a lot of relatable dramatic stakes are off the table (and why you get tonal dissonance like Adrian Grenier actually being a huge asshole in Devil Wears

A friend of mine noted that Defoe convincingly played Jesus and the devil in the same year. (88/90, but, you know)

She wants to drill down on these open-ended questions.

Remembering the heady internet days of Balk and O’Neal and Teti and Choire and Edith and Ortberg. *sigh*

There was a totally random endorsement from Tim Gunn on his Instagram and now I know why.

Tasty is so good. Insecure soundtrack good.

There is a large stoner overlap here.

You’re terrible, Muriel.

I’m waiting for the new season of Insecure to see how I feel about it.

This is shitty advice.

This may be apocryphal but I heard about a dude in the old southeast dorms of UW-Madison who turned his stereo all the way up and set “Please pass the milk please” on repeat and then left. Security finally got in after an hour and he got evicted from the dorm. It makes me giggle every time I hear that song.

“They’ll Need a Crane” is New Wave Sondheim.
