I like this column in general but this one is particularly great! Just persuaded me to reserve the book at the library.

This movie feels like some VC firm crunched the numbers on licensing the Beatles’ catalog and then backwards-engineered a movie based on brand awareness.

I put down Dark Souls when I hit a glowing butterfly because I got tired of grinding. Switched to the PS4 for Dishonored 2 and Spider-Man, but I need to get back to it before I lose the controls and have to start over again.

I was annoyed at the weapon breaking mechanic at first, but ended up loving the way it nudges you to take risks and keep pushing. I played AC: Origins right after and though it would have been better with that mechanic.
