I read somewhere somewhere that re-watching shows stimulates the same part of the brain as hanging out with friends. (I don’t re-watch much, but I do keep Adventure Time on my phone)

I feel like the sheer volume of content out there means that only a fraction of people would start or stop a subscription for any particular show (this same study says subscriptions went up after the last price hike). It’s odd that Netflix is so sticky because it’s not like its widespread user base generates network…

Zelda II was my first Zelda and I have fond memories of memorizing those dungeons. The endless levels of gold brick in the final dungeon really felt epic. But the OoT dungeons seem to have etched themselves into my brain. Something about the 1st gen 3D graphics made the environments so sparse and focused that it feels…

I saw the previews and thought it was some kind of Young Life Instagram that had metastasized into a movie.

I saw them on a smaller stage at ACL right after this came out and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. There was an energy bouncing between the band and the crowd (which kept growing through the set) that rode on those anthemic riffs. Okereke was magnetic and charming. I thought they were going to be huge…
