This is how I feel about Marcella Hazan’s “Essentials”. Just working my way through different recipes has made me appreciate how flavors are constructed (omg her cappellacci) and how taking your time can make three ingredients taste amazing.

Same, but for some reason I find the frustration less irritating in retro games like Hollow Knight and Hyper Light Drifter (and to a lesser extent Limbo). Maybe the it’s leftover 2-D pattern recognition skills from NES?

Ah, my comfort food! I make this with a recipe from my mom which calls for six (!) onions and no carrots and the meat is browned in bacon fat. She always served it with egg noodles, which feels a little basic, but I haven’t found a good substitute because the texture really plays off the beef.

Her chapters in book 4 are some of my favorite of the series.

I just started Nier Automata and it feels very PS3, but it got such raves I’m willing to wait for it to click. I wish the chips/load out mechanics were a little more obvious because they seem important. I just finished God of War and they do a good job of holding your hand on the load outs (and maximizing the PS4).

“I Believe I Can Fly” is my second most hated song after Seven Mary Three’s “Cumbersome”.

I got the impression Tyrion cut a deal with her when he found out she was pregnant and he’s going to double-cross Danny in the post-battle denouement to protect the family line (even though Jaime’s all-but-prophesied to kill her in the books).

GRRM promised his wife he wouldn’t kill Arya so I’m not too worried about her. Based on that preview it looks like she’s maybe running through the Winterfell crypt and I’m wondering if the Night King raises all the dead inside and one of her parents popped out.
