In the early 00's, Tennessee football was accused of academic fraud (similar to UNC) but their coach, Phil Fulmer, cut a deal with the NCAA where they got some light penalties. The reason Fulmer cut a deal was so the NCAA could go after an Alabama booster paying players. That showed me the priorities of the NCAA.

They don’t issue the death penalty for enabling child sex abuse over four decades. They don’t issue it for sheltering a team full of sexual predators. I think UNC’s gonna be fine.

Actually it isn’t, but the Final Four were not good games. Teams off their rhythms, shooting in a horrible football stadium, hard rims, and sketchy, inconsistent reffing. The first two weekends of this year’s tournament, however, were much, much better games.
