My dear friend was told three years ago that her Stage 4 cancer was inoperable and she should put her affairs in order. She got a second opinion at Mayo, had an experimental surgery, and two years later she is “no evidence of disease,” with about a 70% chance of non-recurrence. So I am grateful to the team there.
