You've gone too far. Le Mans a landmark piece of motorsports cinema.

The segment is just plain pointless and boring and silly.

In Nor Cal, someone has done a track day car superlight Lotus Elise. If it isn't needed for speed or safety, it's out of there! Very spare looking but well done.

You'd think this would be right in my wheelhouse. But I could only stand watching it for about 60 seconds.

I track my A4 Avant 2.0T (itself a great engine) at Audi Club track days and get to hear 4.2 V8's at full chat, often as they're blowing by me. What a wonderful sound!

Google Maps informs me it's a 2,401 mile drive from my house in SF, otherwise I'd be there.

@RKB-Engineering: They did a big repaving there last July. Put in some new curbing which was scary high (motorcycle rider knee and car rim eating high), so they had to grind some of those down.

Now playing

Cupcake Dream Cruise 2008 at the Maker Faire - some video I done made on my own self.

Late entry but I believe worthy... in so many ways...

@mr_dude: I saw the comment above that the helicopter showed up, circled the ambulance but didn't land (as if he had already passed).

@mr_dude: Sad... Not to second guess them but there's an airport a couple miles away, in Wendover. Could easily helo from there.

The Mitchum Thunder Road 1950 Ford - sublime...

First a suggestion - how about Best Bad Car Movies - horrible but fun - like Red Line 7000 (cool mid-60's NASCAR cars), Winning (good Indy car action with Paul Newman wrapped in silly soap opera), Viva Las Vegas (OK Elvis film but a great collection of mid 60's sports racers including one of the Ole' Yellers)

Two widely different Amtrak experiences...

Beauuuuteeeeful Fernley!

My eyes! They bleed!

I've gotten to sit behind the wheel of 1954 D-type "short nose." No driving, just sitting - in a car collection. With the curator's permission.
