The Czechs are still sort of upset about losing the Battle of White Mountain in 1620 (although they’re less upset now that they finally have their own country again).

For a guy who didn’t like slavery, he fought awfully hard to protect it.

But there’s no novel legal issue. And there’s no precedent to be set regarding other labor disputes. Employee discipline varies by CBA. Any union (say, the Teamsters Union) that wants to avoid this type of issue can just bargain as to how discipline will work. This is pretty much an NFL-specific case.

Between the username and the comment, I assume you’re Dan Snyder?

The Maras might not like Snyder (I have no idea how they feel about him), but they still need to stay on good terms with him. The owners are sort of business partners.

I actually think anytime someone puts up this many points, it’s a decent achievement, but I was just responding this guy who seems to think that non-professional athletes aren’t allowed to criticize or contextualize the achievements of professional athletes.

If they were trying to make a legitimate stand on the issue, they backed down pretty quickly.

I agree, I want them to explicitly say why they did this. However, this is still one of the strongest statements an NFL team has ever made on the issue. The Eagles did something similar last year on their website without explaining it. I’m not aware of any other NFL teams other than the Giants or Eagles ever doing

They’re pretty clearly trying to have their cake and eat it too. They don’t want to use a racist term, but they also don’t want to take an official position on it one way or the other to avoid offending Snyder, the NFL, and fans who like to scream about “PC Culture.”

I’ve never liked this criticism. When someone says a professional athlete is bad, we know they’re still a lot better than us. We’re comparing them to their peers. “But you would have scored 8 points taking 50 shots” is like saying “it’s okay that you failed your college math final because a third grader would have

I think you’re supposed to freeze them first. That probably makes them easier to throw. It also helps with the smell.

When I was in college we used to throw fish onto the ice for the big rivalry game. The security guards did a cursory check, but weren’t very thorough. Most people put the fish in their pants. My preferred method was to wear high socks and put it in there with the part that didn’t fit in the sock being covered by the

I’ve always wondered what happens when two people with hyphenated last names get married and have kids. Do their kids have 4 last names? I’ve yet to see it, but I expect that I’ll meet a couple who gave their baby a 4 part hyphenated last name soon.

So your position is we should just allow people to die if they can’t afford medical treatment?

Advertising definitely works, despite people’s claims that it doesn’t affect them. They just don’t understand the goal. to use your example, advertising is not the reason someone buys Bud Light over Coors Light, but it is the reason they buy Bud Light over the generic store brand light beer.

But the question says that you have to take into account the chances of getting hit. When was the last time someone in a shooting competition accidently shot a bystander or fellow competitor?

It’s definitely presidential candidates. “Being president is the hardest job in the world. I’d be perfect for it.”

The average politician might not have a huge ego, but the guys who run for President do (even seemingly “normal” ones). It takes a massive ego to say “the Presidency is the hardest job in the world. Brilliant men have failed in that job. You know who would be freaking perfect for that job? Me.” Plus, you need a little

She can still get out of this. This was not a final decision. The judge denied her a preliminary injucntion, which essentially means that she is not allowed to record with other labels before a final decision is made because it’s not an emergency. This judge will make a final decision in a few months (there might be a

Appeals to the Appellate Division are as of right. And you’re right: this was a preliminary injunction. She hasn’t lost yet.
