Very strong opener, promising beginning for what was the most-improved show on teevee last season. I loved hearing The Nerves "One Way Ticket," though it pre-dates the show's action by several years and The Nerves were just barely a thing at the time and the title was a pretty unsubtle nod to Ryan's career path, but

Damn right. They have a long way to go with me before I trust them on anything new again anytime soon - McHale or no.

Was the TV Club's narrowing the number of shows they're covering specifically mentioned elsewhere? Link?

I expect to learn more next week when Littlefinger proposes (or whatever), but she may not have known for sure that he was coming, even if we pretty much totally did…which was arguably the biggest weakness of the episode.

Facing off a cavalry *charge*? Because that'd definitely be full of bastards.

Tormund has admitted checking out Jon's junk, so I'd write the Jon/Sansa pic off as a fakeout from the real Jon on redhead action to come.

The change of venue to Scotland is a good one. But Bash *always* has to have a brush with the supernatural. Mary needs to cultivate that "just washed in by the tide" look. Very nice.

It's a shite state of affairs

The only new show in the 2015-2016 season that I watched for the entire season. I liked the show very much, looked forward to it every week. I thought it was unusally good at balancing drama and comedy, and I really can't believe that a show of both this quality and ratings success isn't after all fit for another

I think I've watched the finale through completely four times now. I just don't want to believe this beautiful ball of badassery is done. I'm sorry that this season was so basically disappointing, but even then there were usually a few "only in Banshee" moments of delight in every episode. And as another commenter

Any thoughts on CBS placing the show in purgatory? I really never considered that they'd cancel it, so I'm somewhere past disappointed.

Plus, they've already dumped Supergirl to the CW (where it's pretty good fit), so.

And Limitless, the only new show of the 2015-16 season that I stuck with, is left in limbo http://www.ign.com/articles…
I guess that's what I get for watching CBS.

Thanks, Myles, for coming back to review the finale, as you said you might. I just wanted to say that now when there's a ghost of a chance you might see it, rather than later when I get home and actually get a chance to see the episode. Til then, la la la can't hear you guys…

Too much to do at work, so much to absorb from the series best episode in ages. I feel like I should gather my thoughts before going on and on about it, but what's the deal with the expanded season? Anyway, though there continue to be narrative glitches and apparent dead ends in the show that can continue to vex (and

The after-show features are often interesting but inessential, but the reactions this week to the Job's alive reveal were universally great. Tom Pelphrey's observations were particularly charming. I'm crushed that Banshee is ending, but there seems little doubt that it's going to go out strong as hell.

First of all, that was a terrific summing up to begin this season, Mr. Chappell. I have every confidence that season four will be good enough to justify ending the series, though it's painful to even imagine this is the end. Throughout the episode, I couldn't stop thinking "I know this is a season opener and it's two

Damn right. Having watched every episode from the beginning of the series, I'll admit that Season One was at times a slog. I understand not going back after the beginning. But the series has consistently gained momentum and strength ever since, and Season One is completely a setup for what comes after. I wouldn't

OK, just saw this, duh. Bad news.

Just gonna keep a lonely vigil here until either reviews appear again, or Mr. McNutt explains how he's too busy for them, dammit.
