@Skutarth: Learn statistics for fuck's sake. I guess the number doesn't exactly double, but it does increase quite a bit compared to the failure rate for one.

@Skutarth: Even if he gave you the brand it's just anecdotal. Hard drives fail before 5 years, they all do. If you have 2 of them the system is twice as likely to fail because of a hard drive. If you have a raid setup where if one drive dies you lose all your data then one is as bad as two failing.
