You do realize you're talking to someone who just accused a bunch of people of being White Supremacists for not having seen The Color Purple, right?
You do realize you're talking to someone who just accused a bunch of people of being White Supremacists for not having seen The Color Purple, right?
I wonder if you're completely aware about how this could be read.
Dude. 'rightful action' is where we part ways. I don;t think the business did anything wrong. The employee was fired, the business comped the entire check, copious apologies were made and again and most importantly - THE BIGOT DOES NOT WORK THERE ANYMORE.
No one denied these stereotypes exist. I just don't get "BLACK PEOPLE" vibe from this performance. Let the white rage flow through you, though.
That looks nothing like me or my family. A big ass in this day and age does not equal a black woman. You're ridiculous.
Oh noes, because they have big asses and tits they MUST be referencing black people. Wait, who is the racist here?
Why is it always white authors who are always looking to find hidden racism in media and declare how terrible it is? Sometimes it feels like white authors are trying to explain racism to the Black community and how offended people should be. Can you imagine how annoying it would be if men were always trying to tell…
Yeah, I'm a black woman and I can't even work up any outrage over this.
I for one am just glad that there are no ancient egyptians around so we can all be spared the jezebel outrage article (that writes itself) on the cultural appropriation of ankhs and sphinxes and what not.
I think you're reaching.
Waaaaaahhh I have too much quality, life-saving medical care developed through hundreds of years of dedicated, passionate research! I want to go back to a time when having a baby in the breach position was a goddamn death sentence, and put my stupid, misguided-ass self and my innocent, helpless baby at risk of death…
Here's the thing - she and that baby are alive BECAUSE of that C-section. Yes, it sucks, and yes, C-sections are often incredibly traumatic, BUT SHE AND HER CHILD ARE ALIVE BECAUSE OF IT.
Patton Oswalt had a bit that summarizes my feelings on this. "You know what they were dreaming about when they were having their babies out there? HOSPITALS. They were dreaming about HOSPITALS."
I like when people talk about how women were giving birth in fields for centuries as if it always worked out so well that way.
This puts the "natural" in "natural selection!"
If seeing words typed out on a screen is going to trigger you that bad you should probably not be reading a public comment section specifically discussing slur words. I'm sorry but you're on the internet. Grow a thicker skin or get off.
I think the word transphobia has a very specific meaning attached to it, the same as racism or misogyny: one of hatred, regardless of how it manifests itself. Not being attracted to someone is not hatred in and of itself. As for the rest of it, I think there's often this elephant in the room that we don't want to…
Well for me personally, I've just yet to experience that attraction. If it happens, awesome! But for now I can only say I have not.
Do you really think not being attracted to people you know (or can reasonably assume) are trans amounts to transphobia though?
