Absolutely shocked that Jeph Loeb did something shitty. Really out of character for him.

Eh, I just remember hating it when I saw it in the theater and I’ve never bothered to reassess.

Before I read about Katzenberg, most of of the mystery to me about Quibi is how the market research failed so badly. Almost anyone could have told them that no one actually wanted this. But then I read about Katzenberg, and now I realize that people did tell him that nobody wanted this, and he didn't care.

Being John Malkovich is one of only two films I actively hate, to the point where I have to consciously restrain myself when someone I know say they like it.

Obviously this would never happen but I’m still incredibly disappointed that it won’t.

I am glad he’s dead. Bigoted pieces of shit who make the world a worse place by spreading hate are better off in the ground.

I’ve always vaguely suspected that a lot of their press is blatant payola. Like, they’re fine, but they seem to get a lot of media coverage relative to their quality/profile.

Yeah. I’m not only surprised that’s it’s so good, but that they actually got less accessible. It seems like a lot of these noisy 90s bands come back with an overly polished alt-rock mediocrity (Ride’s comeback stuff has been extremely guilty of this, imo) but Inlet is almost metal in places. Big props to Hum for not

They won’t be able to stay away from Twitter. There’s no libs on Parler to “trigger” and whether they acknowledge it or not that’s a huge part of the right-wing experience.

This album is absolutely massive. Anyone who is a fan of BIG OL GEETARS needs to give this a listen asap.

Was that one half second of Joel McHale in there also??

Heh heh. I’m what’s inside ya!

Considering how ruthlessly 30 Rock mocked NBC during its run, I’m willing to give this the benefit of the doubt and not write it off immediately.

Disney was probably scared to make the protagonist a villain because some corporate dipshit said that it might lower profits by like 2.3% or something (only to dump it on D+ anyway).

It’s been a while, but in my memory, Elwes and his people weren’t even that “bad,” just vaguely douchey. But for some reason we’re supposed to cheer when he and his assistant (?) are horrifically killed later in the film.

Yeah, I’m consistently surprised at how cynical the show is about cops that aren’t in the core cast. Wuntch was openly corrupt and as of her last appearance, was acting police commissioner of the NYPD because she was so adept at toadying and manipulation and the Vulture is a misogynistic bro douche that is apparently

I loved this. It’s proving a little divisive, though, and I can see why... it’s extremely slow. I love that kind of stuff, just living with the characters for a little bit and seeing how they bounce off each other. The only point of reference I could think of for this was Zodiac, but even that one comes across as a

Watched it last night. It was not what I expected - I sort of had vague notions of a Fincher’s Zodiac type of thing, but it was even more measured and deliberate that that. Absolutely beautiful to watch - it’s hard to believe this is the director’s first real film. Loved the ending too.

That would be a masterful troll and masterful fanservice at the same time. Star Wars megafans will go bananas for Rex, “normal” Star Wars fans will wonder why everyone made a big deal about Boba Fett coming back when the guy who would logically play him is actually portraying some random clone trooper.
