Doug Jones was always a long shot, but for completely unclear reasons his campaign has resorted to same tactics that completely failed Jon Osoff’s campaign in Georgia. Democrats need to get their heads out of their asses.

Stranger Things could have easily been a lazy nostalgia pastiche, but... it’s all about the characters, man. Fighting the demons from the Upside Down is nice and all, but the real joy (for example) is watching someone like Steve hanging out with the kids, and it totally feels like a natural progression for his

Ah yes, Hillary Clinton, noted Wall Street enemy and political outsider, uninterested in expanding power.

This seems like it would be hilarious to people who are a part of the contemporary art scene, high society, and no one else.

I honestly read that as heavy sarcasm.

I love it when people say something completely inaccurate with total conviction.

It’s Ryan Murphy so I’m curious how he’ll make it embarrassing and totally boneheaded.

Or just pointing a gun produces clicks and other metallic noises.

He and his entire team are idiots. What could possibly be gained from addressing this one individual allegation?

Of course. The best David Cross stuff does exactly this. But coming up to an Asian person and just rattling off Asian stereotypes is only mean-spirited. It’s not funny.

I‘ve been waiting for this for something like 15 years, or however long ago he first announced it (I feel like I was a young teenager). That it’s actually lived up to the hype is miraculous.

I can dig this take. I like bourbon a lot, but since I mostly drink scotch, coming back to bourbon can be like licking a sugar cube. Rye’s spiciness is very nice.

If you get it during those first seven days you can keep it for nothing. Anyone downloading it after that is going to have to pay.

I wonder if their pivot into primarily original content will be successful or not. It’s not clear (Netflix is pretty cagey with their numbers), but I’d be pretty surprised if most people subscribe to Netflix specifically for their original content.

Kirkman’s credibility about anything is pretty suspect.

The satire this season has been so obvious and boneheaded, it’s a little disappointing. The best satire shouldn’t make me feel like I’m being lectured, but several times this season it seemed like the characters were just explaining the joke (Diane’s “I guess this country hates women more than it loves guns” is the

How the FUCK is this getting stars on a post linked to Jezebel? Just fuck this bullshit. You do understand it’s possible to dislike her policies, you know the shit that actually matters?

Other than this episode (which was definitely the worst offender), it seems like a lot of the commentary this season was dumb and condescending. This was really just one step away from Diane turning to the camera and delivering a lecture directly to the audience.

People aggressively defending the DC movies is extremely weird to me. Like, why? What about Suicide Squad spoke to that guy so much that made him want to shut down an entire website over some bad press?

This line made no sense when I thought about it. I guess it sounded impressive when she said it about herself, but saying it to Varys seemed a little... obvious. Like, of course he’s going to die on Westeros, it’s not like he’s planning on leaving, is he?
