*spoiler if you haven't seen season 3?*
in "passing", a young clay pretends to have shot himself with his father's gun. he used ketchup as fake blood from a bottle that was labeled "IT'S JUST KETCHUP".

there have been lots of things i've been excited for on TV this year (mad men & breaking bad's 5th seasons, the parks & rec 4th season finale, the return of bob's burgers after fox tried to debut a bunch of lousy cartoons in its time slot, the return of community last month that never happened, etc.) but i can't

I think Moms may be my favorite Menomena album, front-to-back. As much as I dig their other LPs, I always thought the Brent tunes (aside from Wet & Rusting & Evil Bee on F&F) derailed whatever momentum those albums were building whenever they'd pop up.

Funny enough, I'm 99% sure "Death Canoe" was just re-purposed clips from MST3K's director / producer / Gypsy-voicer / partial-MST3K-rights-holder (and, therefore, money-taker-away-er from all the other talented people who worked on the show but Joel) Jim Mallon's Troma film "Blood Hook". It's been a while since I've

i miss movie rental stores, but i do not miss blockbuster. they were always much more expensive than any other video store in town, had a ridiculously small catalog of older films (aside from the obscure cult films i'd look for when going to the video store, my local blockbuster also didn't carry classics like wizard

Yes, I specifically clicked on this article just to see if there was any discussion of Super Mario Bros. or The Pest.

Flag on the Moon… How'd you get there?

my most dreaded "get" on halloween were those bland light brown candies with orange & black wrappers. they were usually hard as a rock because they had presumably sat in some candy warehouse for a couple of years before finally being hauled out for the holiday season.
