@Marand: It seems you might be unaware of how the "Best Five" posts work. Earlier in the week, they put out a call to all readers for contenders. The 5 that receive the most votes make it into the list that are offered in polls like this one.
@lindsayk: Lindsay, reformatting isn't completely necessary, it's more about keeping your system free of clutter.
@Prairie Moon: Congrats! Wish I had the drive to learn to play my acoustic. I bought one and took lessons for a while, but work got busy and stayed so. :/
A good MP3 tagging program for Mac. Does it exist?
@webfrasse: But it's that very attitude that is making Apple machines a more attractive target to virus/worm/botnet creators. I'll be laughing when my PC and Mac are clean and free of nasties because I secure my machines, and all the oblivious "my mac doesn't get viruses" fools are spambots :)

@weirdalfan27: ...(and not in April Fools' fashion)...
@FamiCube64: Gotta remember, though, that John's GOT serious cash. :)
@mullingitover: Wow, clever.
John Gruber is a tool. Why anyone lends any credence to his words is beyond me.
@davidr521: Show me something that shows the subst command in DOS utilizes SMB/CIFS.
@isvoid: I think you're missing the point of the utility... vSubst appears to stand for "Visual Subst", making the subst utility more accessible to folks that may not be as comfortable at the command line.
@redfalcon: That works, but it's not as efficient as mounting them as a regular drive letter. Sharing them pushes all of your data transfers through the CIFS stack, which can affect copy performance—not a huge impact, but it's there.
@Attmay: I hear the Backflip is a piece of junk. AT&T has locked it down so tightly, it's useless. No loading your own apps, etc. Kind of like an iPhone without being as nice.
I hate office meetings on Fridays that make my Friday an extra hour longer...

@bardophile: If performance is more important to you, I'd go with a RAM upgrade first. While 1GB is the "recommended" for XP, that was the published recommended minimum back when XP was released.
@wickedcupofjoe: If you're using Windows, try CloneCD. Not sure if it's even still in active development, but I used it years ago to make copies of otherwise uncopyable (is that even a word?!) discs for my little brother, who was in the same boat :)
@kenboy127: What TheFu said. :)
