Though pinball is making something of a comeback these days, it’s last big heyday was in the early 90s when computer technology in the form of the dot-matrix display and digital audio reinvented it.

There were a few payout pinballs with coin dispensors, but in most cases, free credits were redeemed by the bartender or soda jerk. The games of that era could not only rack up free games, but A LOT of them, as in dozens.
