Apparently the compression apple invented for their 4k video keeps 4K video less than twice the size of 1080 despite 4 times the pixels.

Who will want the X? Anyone who wants the screen size of the plus but still wants the phone to fit in their pants pocket like the iPhone 6 and 7.

is there any doubt this is where phones are headed? You don’t need plugs of course. My iPhone can already display 4k movies on my TV. Soon we will have monitors at our desks the same way.

Seriously? most people pay that much. Only cutting edge Millennials are cord-cutters, and they make up a small percent of the population for now. Me, I only pay $120 for my triple play plan, but I dont get all the premium channels most people get.

How else do you handle things like compressing 4k video on the fly or all the cool new AR graphics that will cripple lesser phones?

I have an 80 inch 4k TV, and I shoot home movies of my kids. Now I will be able to play them instantly streaming through airplay to the 4k AppleTV.

Nope, but I keep every photo I’ve ever taken, plus home movies on my iPhone. I like it to duplicate what I store on my main computer.

Samsung can and never will be able to build a phone like this iPhone X. They can make screens but they can’t fab their own CPUs and chipsets like Apple does. They simply don’t have the money to. Apple probably spent as much money designing this one phone than Samsung spent designing their last 10 phones.
