Looks like you are not the only one at all! I swear Footfall was said to be a motion picture soon, 20 years ago! I’d enjoy movies of both Footfall and Lucifer’s hammer. I’m glad to see so many others are fans here as well. Footfall seems easier to make into a hollywood movie than Lucifer’s Hammer.

Wow. I forgot all about this! I had the same original Vertibird copter! I used to love to crash it top speed into my sister’s ankles!

she’s a WHORE.

yup, last time this was on io9 or Gizmodo, I bought the model. It really works great! a fan will make it walk across your floor

Note you have the highest liked comment. Funny how the author believe GofT sucks when it is one of the most enjoyed shows on cable. Also, if one were to go back in time to visit medieval times on Earth similar to the GofT era, there would be a lot more “boobz and blood” in our actual history. Hell, look any town

Thanks for being the first voice of reason after 20 or more typical dickish negative comments.

You know, I don’t have any stats on who buys most of those pickups but I always assumed that it was midwest families and not business owners. People in the midwest love them their pickups! They use them the way city people use a civic- as daily drivers. I haven’t met too many people from middle America, but I’ve

Then you are never going to enjoy the best lunch deal in NYC- the $5 chicken on a pita sandwich! I pity you. I enjoy one once a week.

Wow. I have a clean record and I pay about $3500 a year for just a 2004 M3 and a 2014 M-sport wagon! That is Long Island NY for you...

Not a mass market car because of a $40k price? The top 3 vehicles sold in the USA in 2014 were the full sized Ford, Chevy, and Dodge pickup trucks. While you can get base models of those pickups for well under 40 grand, most of them are mid level or loaded models with ranges of ~40 grand for the mid level ones and

I agree. My BMW 328i wagon is the most versatile car ever made. 32mpg, huge rear storage especially when you put the seats down, super comfortable, very quick, handles like a sports car, has AWD for bad weather traction.

HAHA! No transmission at all!

Is that Christian Bale?

My Syquest 44 is still running perfectly.

Well, this was an older iPhone and the newer ones do have much better encryption. This battle will only resurface once again when the FBI wants to open up an iPhone 6.

They could also find classic pre-1960's motorcycles that have kick start and magneto charging systems like my 1958 BMW which doesn’t require a battery at all to run just fine. Of course, coming across vintage motorcycles after the post apocalypse would be a rare thing.

Actually plenty of cars sit around in collections with the same oil for a decade and they still will start, but only after you put in fresh gas and a new battery. Car batteries loose their charge in just a few months time and at 6 months they won’t have enough amps to start a typical car engine.

Forget about the gas going bad issue. Car batteries die in just a few months of not being charged! No battery would start a car after 6 months of no charging.

DING DING DING!

Except for the fact that it is 3 times faster than the existing phone, with a camera 3 times sharper. Basically, its all new except for the case and screen.
