Out of genuine curiosity, is it a shitty game because you don’t like the game, or is it a shitty game because of Vanguard?

I’d advise against Machi Koro as it’s super random and relies solely on you getting the dice rolls you need to win. You can mitigate this (kind of), but not in any meaningful way.

I think citations of “the game is already fucking huge (file-size), we need a better way to manage space” had something to do with it.

This. Exactly this. PTT was great during the days of Ventrilo and TeamSpeak because mics were absolute shit and picked up every little thing. Invest in a $100 headset that has a good mic and you’ll be fine. 

I forget to mute my mic all the time and just take my headset off to tell my GF I love her and then put the headset back on to my friends saying “We love you too!” I hate it. Every fucking time.

So the countless other sites dedicated to lore and expanded storytelling for other IPs are just acknowledgement that the show runner or media creator got it wrong? Fuck outta here with that.
