I think that’s the point. Every generation gets a little bit more expensive. The C5 and C6 were the Pinnacle of middle class boomer success. You started a plumbing company, or achieved upper middle management status and this is what you rewarded yourself with. Look at how many of these guys want top dollar for a car

I wasI was genuinely excited for this car. A video was released showing these guys hand-building the cars. They looked like a work of art. I sought this car out at the NAIAS. The panel gaps were uneven and as large as the price tag. $65k puts you into Porsche and Corvette territory.

My EcoDiesel was the least reliable vehicle I’ve ever owend. I hated making a $500 car payment plus another $2-300/month repair bill due to the DEF system. Your DEF gauge is stuck because of a bad sensor? Get it fixed or you’re in limp mode. You want to replace the sensor? Sorry, you have to replace the whole tank.

This is the self preservation society!

Did they do anything to make it last longer than a year before it completely rusts out?

I drove out to Des Moines from Detroit to trade my Ram for a Land Cruiser. The truck was a pile and constantly in the shop. The Land Cruiser has been trouble free. I would check in on the truck by looking at the used car posting on the dealer’s site. The sales manager I sold the truck to was pretty happy. He thought

Recently picked up a 2008 Toyota Land Crusher and i have 140k on the clock. This is easily the best vehicle I have ever owned. It’s completely trouble free and all I do is maintenance. It’ll definitely make the 15 year mark.

My experience with Craigslist has been overwhelmingly positive. I’m in the middle of a restoration of a 1964 CJ5, and all the people I have met up with for parts have been extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I sold a 1972 garden tractor to a guy in my hometown who owns an abandoned building in Detroit. It’s a whole

Detroit had a very heavy snowfall back in 2013. I had a brand new Jeep Rubicon 10th anniversary edition. This thing was a tank. I worked nights and went to my club after my shift. They had Final Absolution on tap. This is a 9.5% Belgian Tripel. It’s one of those beers where two or three are fine until you stand up.

I was 14 and driver’s education was available through the school district, which was great. Two months before that started, my dad wanted me to get some practice. We started out in the school parking lot. Folding lawn chairs were supposed to represent other cars.

We are well past the “Truck you can live with” era. In the 1980s, people still saw trucks as workhorses. These were vehicles used by tradesmen, farmers, or anyone else that needed something this utilitarian. Look at the commercial itself. None of those trucks were extended cab. There’s a great 1990s commercial showing

This is my 1964 CJ5. I live in a blue-blood community outside of Detroit. Nobody around here wrenches. I plan on doing a frame off restoration and have started disassembling the body. I could use a few new friends and some knowledge and expertise from anyone who has taken on one of these marvelous machines. I can give

As the owner of a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel, what’s in it for me? This has been the lousiest vehicle I have ever owned. It’s been in the shop dozens of times. It has spent the last week getting a replacement intake manifold installed.

Picked up a cj5 with 28k miles and no rust for $3k. I might be crazy for wanting the purest driving experience I can get, but this one looks pretty cut up. The front fenders have been chopped and the diamond plate is always questionable. The tub makes a big difference because replacement can cost $2500. If you are

I picked this up a week ago. I am converting it back to stock. I want the purest driving experience possible. It has the original 4 cylinder, no lift kit, and I have the original wheels in the garage. I took it out last night during the blackout. Such a blast. This summer is going to be a ton of fun.

It would probably take $10-15k worth of work to get it worth $20k. This is a beater, plain and simple. However, it is a conniseur’s beater.

Hey Kristen, Reddit just posted something for you to ripoff; a Craiglist listing about a dad selling his teen daughter’s Honda Civic.

Let me tell you something about Roseville. This is the same community that charges you a fee if an officer shows up to an accident and writes a report.

The only person who has it easier than Standard is Kristen Lee. How long has it been since she wrote a real article that hasn’t picked straight off of Reddit?

Grew up in a wealthier Detroit suburb. The lot was filled with new cars. One girl I knew well had a new Corvette because she maintained a 4.0 and her father owned a tier 3 supplier. Another buddy of mine drove a new explorer Eddie Bauer, and his father also owned a supplier. A local real estate magnate bought his son
