Semantics. GTO, Boss 302, GS355 are considered muscle cars. Yet LeMans, V6 Mustang and Skylark are considered pony cars. Apart from the engine it’s a same car.

Same platform was it not? That’s like saying Town Car is different from Crown Vic because it has no shared sheet metal or interior.

So basically a single GM product that was badge engineered.

But muscle cars aren’t body on frame... Mustang, Camaro, Charger, Challenger. All unibody.
