I’m happy with the Bears taking Roquan Smith. I’m also happy that they didn’t have to draft a QB this year. Not saying I know for sure Trubisky will develop and work out but I’d take him over any of this year’s class. I’m sure some of them will work out so I’m not trying to say they are all busts just that I’d take

I wonder what the longest someone has evaded capture? Hopefully one day someone is so good at it that they just give up and let him stay on the field and play on. It’s amazing the things a drunk mind can think is possible.

I think you are right. Could you imagine a Japanese family immigrating to Kansas? It’s a story that would transcend sports.

Reading everyone’s comments has reminded me how lucky I was. A day before my 40th birthday I had 4 veins rupture. I was a professional gardener at the time, showed up to a work site, called my wife and told her I didn’t feel well, she picked me up and rushed me to an ER. They tossed me in an amubulence and sent me to

I agree with most of what Chris Borland is saying. It’s the subconcussive hits that are the real problem and the NFL isn’t going to be able to do anything about those. I also think football needs to be delayed until at least high school. I don’t know where the line in the sand needs to be drawn but pee wee leagues

I’ll take this one. As someone who has been to outer space quite a bit, it seems aliens really love my anus, I would say Gravity does the best to capture the experience. That one and quite a few videos on pornhub seem to really get it.

I don’t know. It’s a team sport. The hitter should have been more aware and slowed down. These guys are professionals and this is a pretty easy rule to follow. I view this more as just even the best of us can make mistakes sometimes. I don’t see why rules have to be changed.

They should have the worst teams play a tournament with the winner getting the top pick. Or maybe have the two worst teams not get any picks and force teams to have this balancing act of being the 3rd worst. I’ve spent zero time thinking about it. It just all kind of fell out of my butt.

“It’s not debatable. You do know they keep statistics about these things.”

You probably think a pitcher’s win loss record is the best indicator of how good a pitcher is? Yes, you are correct they keep statistics and yes Colin Kaepernick should be on a team so we are on the same page with this but people are making him out to be a premier QB and he really isn’t. How good Kaepernick is really

It’s highly debatable that teams are clearly choosing inferior QB’s. That’s part of the problem with where the narrative has gone.

I think the narrative has just been embellished. Clearly he has lost opportunities because of crap reasons and it extends past the Houston Texans BUT there are valid reasons for some teams not to be interested. That nuanced view of it is difficult for some but it’s closer to the truth. From my admittedly limited times

This sounds horrible like a terrible amateur night for people with big egos. I know in order to make it in professional sports you need a deep belief in yourself but I could just imagine these guys with a few drinks in them thinking they can score. Shiver.

Why would someone not want to eat? I just finished a full dinner and when I was putting my dish away I had thoughts of an after dinner burrito. I then proceeded to eat a few bites my young daughter left on her plate.

Holy fuck! I’m kind of scared now.

Seeing so much fortune befall Philadelphia sports fans makes me feel like a little lamb is breaking a seal somewhere.

69 is a beautiful number and worthy of attention but I would have been more impressed if it equaled 42.

So off topic but I’ve long wondered why there aren’t more players who are both kickers and punters. You would think teams would be all for having one player handle both duties to free up a roster spot and that in case of injury there would be someone else on the team that could handle it for a game.

Or perhaps it’s just a sign that God doesn’t think too highly of organized religion. The baby gets thrown out with the bathwater too often when it comes to debates on God. Discard religion. Keep the faith.

I’m so glad I’m older and don’t seek out live music anymore. By the time my daughter goes asleep my wife and I tend to relax on the couch and watch bad tv while debriefing the day. We snuggle, drink hot tea, and don’t leave our house unless it’s to take the dog out. I fully enjoyed my teens and twenties so I can look
