Had one, it was fun, engine blew at 45k miles, went through arbitration to get it fixed under warranty, didn’t have a car for three months. Sold it.

I did something similar when I had a Tommykaira shift knob... I always had a winter glove in the console. Pop it on when it was hot or cold out. Which, in Ohio, is basically 9 months out of the year.

I hate these, and VW is a regular offender. The crazy part is, they CHOOSE to do this. Someone decides that this is how it will look. I don’t think I have ever come across a factory radio that has a separate power button (aftermarket is another story).
