I thought other sites were reporting last week that the CEO announced punishment if dealers didn’t stop markups? Did that just get thrown out the window?

I came here to say something similar. Trolley and foot traffic is always better for small businesses than cars. When I am driving through town, I’m looking for pedestrians, bikes, other drivers, etc. The last thing I’m looking at is the businesses. But if I’m walking, I see them all!

Yeah I wish that was an option. I wanted the cooled seats and pano roof, and you can’t get either on the GT with 6-speed.

I’m surprised that the frameless windows are going down. I bet it’s because they are warming up the cars first. My e89 Z4 windows would freeze into the hardtop and wouldn’t open. Of course, since it was a manual, remote start wasn’t an option. Once, it was so bad that I could only get the passenger door open, and had

I bought a low mileage CPO 2018 Hyundai Elantra GT Sport DCT in early 2019. I read a lot of reviews, and watched a ton of YouTube videos about it, and determined that it was a good car for the money. Turns out that I like the car generally, but overall it just isn’t as great as I expected.

I had an aunt who stopped her car before hitting the deer and the dumb animal ran into her anyway.

What is really surprising is that the BRZ gets the same MPG without the turbo. Both cars match the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport (all are 22 MPG combined), which is where the new Nissan Z will be too. I’d rather have the power of the Nissan if there isn’t an efficiency gain.

I like giving the thumbs down.

Every time I see pricing for new cars, EV or not, I compare it to the new F-150 Lightning Pro. Ford must be losing money on the $42k model, and making it up on the high spec ones. This car has basically the same starting price, but the Ford has AWD, 230 mile range, and can tow.

I tried twice and it failed both times. It told me to wait 2 hours to do a video call with a human.

I wasn’t there, so I have no idea what would have been best in the situation. I was just agreeing with bobdolesgoodhand. And don’t forget that an officer was injured during the maneuver, so how “slow” was it?

I mean, there was a live adult human in the backseat. Eventually they run out of gas or the thief finds a place to stop and run. The cops could have “let them go” and I bet they would have stopped much sooner.

This makes me think that a low take rate is a complicated combination of demographics, pricing, and dealership stock. The Mazda MX-5 has a 75% take rate for soft-top manuals, and 50% for RF. BRZ was 78%. WRX is 90%. The 2020 M2 was 50%. The Lotus Evora GT was 75%. Nissan 370Z was 50%. Porsche 718 was 33%.

I am probably the target demographic for this car (late 30's, college grad, no kids, etc.) and I’m not trying to get too r/antiwork, but this car just is just not affordable for me. $56k is a $1000/mo payment. Most of the “youngers” can’t afford it, even if they really want it.

I agree. They will try to take attention away from the Z launch.

It’s still hideous. For that much money, I want it to be the right shape.

If I can actually get a Lightning Pro for ~$42k, I may also become a F-150 owner.

I love this.

It may also be the only four-light reverse lamp setup, too.

It’s an automatic... so that’s gonna be a no from me dawg.
